Q. Just how ‘affordable’ is barometer?
A. One of the reasons why Barometer is designed to work off an automated methodology is to keep the costs down without compromising the quality of the output. Each barometer will vary slightly in cost accordingly to individual requirements.

Q. Can I test creative concepts and designs with barometer?
A. Yes. You can use visual images as stimulus material for respondents to react to by simply incorporating the images in your barometer model.

Q. How is barometer research ‘user-friendly’?
A.

There are four key principles behind barometer that are key to its user-friendliness:

  1. Our core philosophy is to stay focused on the issues that need to be addressed.
  2. Because barometer is conducted online the fieldwork and data processing is fully automated.
  3. The reporting format uses simple, at-a-glance easy to understand charts.
  4. Barometer uses common sense language, not complicated jargon.

Q. How quickly can you conduct a barometer project?
A. Some barometer models can take only a few days to complete. It depends on what is required, the recruitment of respondents and how long you want the fieldwork to run. A typical barometer model is conducted over two weeks.

Q. Will using barometer compromise my existing relationships with other suppliers or clients?
A. No. Barometer prides itself on its independence, integrity and a no-hidden-agendas policy. Our focus is on delivering barometer models to suit client needs. This often involves working alongside existing resources and suppliers.

Q. Because Barometer is an online tool is it difficult to recruit the required sample?
A.

No. In fact it is very easy to recruit the sample for a Barometer exercise because: People are happy to participate in a Barometer exercise when invited because the fact that it is online means that participation is simple, quick, and can occur entirely at the participant's convenience.

Q.

How in-depth is the information barometer provides?

A. Barometer is designed to be a topline assessment tool rather than an in-depth research model. Its aim is to provide management and marketing executives with independent, objective insight and actionable direction. It is also a valuable tool to help identify issues that might warrant more in-depth research. In such cases the research then undertaken is more focused and cost effective. Barometer models can also be formulated to deliver more in-depth and robust data if required simply by extending the questionnaire and/or sample according to requirements.

Q. With barometer being an online methodology what security assurances are there?
A. When conducting a barometer all information is protected by a 128 bit secure encryption programme which protects the data and the privacy of all participating respondents. Unique ID code access is also available for added security and privacy.
